At Stable & Strong we have a small pen in the main room to accommodate moving or standing children.

This will be available with a member of staff during the strong foundations classes only. If you wish to use the space at other times please contact and communicate with our staff.

It is our goal for you to have a safe and effective training session every-time you enter the gym. However we know this can be hard with small children so we are trying to make this gym somewhere convenient as well. This is a free convenience we offered as long as the guidelines below are adhered to.

Please note the following policies are to be followed with no exceptions.

1. You child will be in your direct care for the duration you are at the gym. The member of staff looking after them is not responsible for them or their actions.

2. Children are not allowed on the workout floor (exceptions of a pram with a child if working in individual spaces) unless going form the penned area to the toilet with their parent.

3. Children are not permitted to walk through the gym when a class is happening.

4. Small non mobile children should be fed and left in their pram during the class. There will be someone to rock the prams and check on them regularly. They will be sitting and watching you train so put on a show.

5. If your child cries the member of staff will try and comfort them as much a they can, if they are unconsolable the member of staff will call you over to help.

The gym equipment is not safe for small children to be around. there are turning components, very heavy and sometimes unstable equipment around and often classes will be set up before the class arrives, so please keep your children under control and if they move any equipment please make sure it is retuned where it came from.

We are here to supply a space to train with your children and remove one excuse to not looking after your own mental and physical health. We wnat you to train safely (not having one eye on a child) and for your child to be safe in this environment.

We are not liable for any accidents that occur while you and your child are in the gym space and require that when they are not in the pen you are soley responsible for them and their actions.

Saturdays: 8.30am – 2pm

Bank holidays Closed (unless otherwise stated)

Is the Space Child Friendly?

We as mothers know how hard it is to get 5 mins to yourself let alone 45 to do a work out. So we have a designated space for your small humans to hang out with one of our personell/trainers (all have previous small human experience). They will be in a penned area with TV and toys to keep entertained for the 45 min you need to have some time for you!

Sessions with children are for selected classes only.

Is there parking available?

There are parking restrictions all around the areas from 10-12 otherwise parking is free around the streets. We are also only a 5 min walk form Mortlake Train stations and very close to White Hart Lane, Banres and East Sheen. The 419 and the 533 both run along Mortlake high street from Barnes, Hammersmith and Richmond stopping just along from the gym.

How can I book into classes?

1. On the FIT app

  • Iso users Download here

  • Android users download here

2. Via the website

  • Select the class on the schedule then log in to book.

Unless you are having issues with the technology avoid making booking over the phone.

I’m pregnant can I still come and train?

Yes of course you can, however we would need to have confirmation from your health professional stating you are able to continue training. This will be different for women who have been training up to and into their pregnancy versus women who have not as well as women who have had any issues with their pregnancy. This will be taken on a case by case basis. If we are not confident you should be training we can refer you to our local women’s health physio for a fit to train check up. our training and programs are tailored to suit the different stages of pregnancy.

I haven’t trained since before I gave birth is it too late for me to start again?

No it is definitely not too late. When it comes to our health and fitness there is never a thing as “too late” . We will assess where you are and then you will be given the options and advice form our trainers as to where would be the best starting point for you. This may be starting with a few weeks of personal training to make sure your body and mind can keep up with the classes and learning the new movements. This is to help prevent injury.
